Tig Notaro Says "¡No Moleste!"

The deadpan comedian and Sarah Silverman pal headlines the Laff Hole on Wednesday.

You have to be patient with Tig Notaro’s comedy. The punchline is coming—she’s just ambling toward it. But this subtle style and trademark John-Lennon-needs-a-haircut locks have launched her onto the national scene, where she does the late-night circuit and has a recurring role as Officer Tig on The Sarah Silverman Program. Silverman is slated to produce Notaro’s latest project, comedy variety show Tig Has Friends for the Logo network, but before Tig gets too busy, she’s doing a stand-up tour across the U.S.

You can see her tomorrow (Wed, Feb 16) at Chop Suey, where she’ll headline the People’s Republic of Komedy’s twice-monthly comedy showcase Laff Hole. Rylee Newton (Comedy Central, Jimmy Kimmel Live), Toby Muresianu (National Lampoon Radio) and Kevin Hyder (People’s Republic of Komedy) will join.

Chop Suey, 1325 E. Madison St., Feb 16, 9pm, $10, 21+.
