Ra Ra Riot bounces around Neumos; Interpol enjoys a post-punk revival.

By Seattle Met Staff January 27, 2011

Thanks to famously energetic live shows and infectious hooks, Ra Ra Riot are officially indie rock darlings. They tour in support of their lofty, strings-driven album The Orchard; they’re at Neumos tonight, Jan 27.

After rising to fame during NYC’s post-punk revival, Interpol —would-be openers for U2’s 360° tour (before Bono’s emergency back surgery)—headline Showbox SoDo on Friday, Jan 28, with a new self-titled album.

Sean Lennon (John and Yoko’s son) and Charlotte Kemp Muhl team up for Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger —crafting clever lyrics for acoustic guitar–driven, ’60s-style folk/pop. They’re adorable, and they’re at the Crocodile on Sunday, Jan 29.

And we can’t not mention that the guidos’ ambassador, DJ Pauly D* of Jersey Shore fame, is spinning at Showbox at the Market tonight at 9:30. This is very, very sold out, but you never know where he’ll wander to after the show. GTL in the SEA!
