Notice anything different this morning? That faint scent of guilt mixed with crazy-drunk euphoria? It’s the Ode de Seahawks: a fragrance Seattle started marketing last night after our boys beat the St. Louis Rams 16-6, winning not only a playoff berth but the freakin’ division with a below .500 record. Want to know when else an NFL team has squeaked by like that to win a division title? Never. And they did it with backup quarterback Charlie Whitehurst, who showed up the Rams’ rookie wonder-boy quarterback Sam Bradford in the one game that really mattered.
If you’ve never been to a Seahawks game before, now’s your chance: Tickets are on sale for the Saturday NFC wild card game versus last year’s Super Bowl champion, the New Orleans Saints. We’re going to get destroyed, but I’ll still be there. I don’t like missing things that are epic. Go Hawks!
