On Sale Soon: Chris Cornell, Katy Perry Tickets
So much for a long-term Soundgarden reunion: Front man Chris Cornell has announced a solo acoustic "Songbook" tour for 2011, during which he’ll play pretty much anything he wants from his catalogue in intimate concerts across North America. He kicks off the tour this April in Austin, Texas, and makes his way up to Seattle on May 1 for a sure-to-sell-out show (it’s all ages, folks) at the Moore Theatre. Tickets ($35-$37) go on sale Saturday, January 29, at 10am at stgpresents.org and tickets.com.
Don’t bother trying to keep track of the number of times Katy Perry winks, wiggles her eyebrows, or plays coy in that "California Gurls" video—it seems like a fun game at first, but gets out of control pretty quickly. The pop starlet (who started out singing gospel, of all things) will tour behind her outrageously successful Teenage Girls album this year, with a stop at Seattle’s KeyArena on July 20. Tickets (price TBD) also go on sale Saturday, January 29, at 10am at livenation.com and ticketmaster.com.
