Be the First to Book Billy Elliot Tickets

Seattle Met readers get first dibs on seats for the Broadway musical in Seattle.

By Laura Dannen November 8, 2010

I’ve been wanting to see Billy Elliot since it opened on Broadway in 2008, and it is the one musical I haven’t been able to get tickets to. (Note: Reasonably priced tickets to.) No combination of TKTS booth queuing, day-of waiting, online price stalking, or "second acting" has worked. All I want to do is take my mother to see a little boy overcome adversity to be a ballet dancer—is that too much to ask?!

But our time has come, Culture Fiends: Billy Elliot comes to the Paramount Theatre on March 17 (UPDATED 11/10/10. new opening night is March 22) and the Broadway Across America people are cutting us a deal. From now through November 18, Seattle Met readers can buy tickets to the musical before they go on sale to the general public (ooh exclusive). Go to stgpresents.org and use the access code: METRO. This show will sell out, so if my tale of longing doesn’t convince you, know this:

Elton John composed the music.
It won 10 Tonys, including best musical.
—Fourteen-year-old Michael Dameski, who played Billy on Broadway, is one of five tweens/teens rotating in the lead role on the national tour.

Billy Elliot is at Paramount Theatre March 17-27 March 22-Apr 3. Tickets are $22-$130 at stgpresents.org.
