Yes, I’m almost 30 and I’m a Harry Potter fan. You are too, admit it.

Is City Arts Fest giving Bumbershoot and Cap Hill Block Party a run for their money? We help you navigate the inaugural music and arts fest, which runs through Saturday night. Coming up: Gus Van Sant directs, Big Boi and She and Him (aka Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward) perform, and Susan Robb leads a Sleeper Cell Training Camp.

PARTY Seattle Art Museum celebrates Diwali, the Indian festival of lights, Remix-style: with a late-night party, food, live music, a henna station, and a chance to view the Picasso exhibit on Saturday night. 8pm-1am.

EXHIBITS Study the the Marauder’s Map and toss a Quaffle ball when Harry Potter: The Exhibition collection of 200+ props and costumes from the hit movies—arrives at Pac Sci. (The preview’s tonight—I’ll tell you all about it in the morning.) Opening Oct 23.

Pac Sci is also kicking off a four-week Harry Potter IMAX film marathon on Friday, in anticipation of the release of the seventh and final installment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, on November 19. Find out more here.

Geeks unite: EMP|SFM opens its doors to the first-ever Battlestar Galactica exhibit, with stars of the TV show scheduled to attend opening weekend. Opening Oct 23.

Closing this Sunday…
God of Carnage at Seattle Rep Theatre
Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival

The Lieutenant of Inishmore at ACT

And, of course, there’s the show I’ve been babbling about all month: Rainn Wilson and Friends (co-stars on The Office, plus local musicians like Sean Nelson and John Roderick) will do a special benefit for the Mona Foundation on Saturday night at the Paramount. I’m hoping to get some interview time, which I’ll fill you in on next week. Until then…a shoutout to Dwight Schrute.
