Sara Gruen

What happens when a research center devoted to studying bonobo apes blows up? The bonobos get their own reality TV show, of course. Sara Gruen, author of bestseller Water for Elephants, reads from her latest at 7 tonight at Seattle Public Library. Ape House has all the marks of her previous work: colorful characters (including a green-haired vegan and a retired porn star), a wry sense of humor, and monkeys. Lots of monkeys.
