Neil Young Is Coming

Jini Dellaccio, This Guy Named Neil, circa 1967.
Gettin’ giddy: Neil Young just added a Seattle date to his North American solo tour [insert silent scream here]. He’s slated to play the Paramount Theatre on July 20, just weeks after buddies Crosby, Stills and Nash make grown men swoon at Chateau Ste Michelle. Apparently the rock legend’s been playing a mix of old and new so far; Paste magazine pulled together YouTube clips from some of his latest shows—all acoustic performances of songs off 2010 album Twisted Road. He doesn’t hit the 20-minute mark in any of them, but he does have Old Black (his reliable electric 1953 Gibson Les Paul) with him, so anything’s possible.
Tickets ($75-$150) go on sale Monday, June 7, at 10am on livenation.com.
Long may he run.
