Congrats to the winners of the eighth annual competition, who were chosen by the Seattle Arts Commission from a record number of public nominations (459) and join a long list of high-profile former recipients: Sub Pop, Kent Stowell and Francia Russell of Pacific Northwest Ballet, Gerard Schwarz (longtime conductor of the Seattle Symphony), the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, and Richard Hugo House among them. The awards ceremony, which is open to the public, will be at noon on Friday, September 3 at Seattle Center’s Northwest Court.
