Ticket Alert

Rihanna Won’t Stop the Music

The pop starlet tours for the first time since 2008; tickets go on sale Saturday.

Forget Chris Brown. Rihanna is back on the road for the first time since her love life turned ugly, swapping her former tour partner/boyfriend for Ke$ha and rapper Nicki Manaj on a 25-date North American swing. First stop: Seattle. Well, technically, Auburn. Tickets for her July 2 show at the White River Amphitheatre go on sale this Saturday, 10am, at LiveNation.com. The Grammy-winning starlet with the most infectious pop this side of Lady Gaga seems to be rebounding; her new single "Rude Boy" topped Billboard, and she even learned how to play the drums for her latest shows. Lose a man, gain a skill, I always say.

UPDATED 6/29/10 THIS SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELED. From Live Nation press release: "Due to production changes, the kick off of the Rihanna tour will now be on July 4th in Vancouver. Fans who purchased tickets will receive a refund. Rihanna apologizes to her Seattle fans and hopes to make it up to them on the next tour."
