So You Think You Can Juggle?

National tour of Cirque Dreams to hold an open casting call this Sunday.

By Laura Dannen April 26, 2010

Cirque Dreams is looking for acrobats, jugglers, musicians, dancers, and people with, um, special talents.

Fancy yourself a slackline artist? A skilled juggler? A singer who deserves a bigger spotlight than the desk lamp in her bedroom? Then head to Gameworks at 7th Avenue and Pike on Sunday to audition for Cirque Dreams Illumination, an international touring circus-theater show that will take the stage at the Moore at the end of the month.

They’re looking for anyone with a “special talent”—interpret that as you will, though they give some suggestions: singers, dancers, musicians, gymnasts, contortionists, acrobats. The winner will get to perform with the CD team in their upcoming Seattle shows, May 20-23, and will receive six free tickets for friends and family.

Here’s the kicker: Auditions are only open to the first 100 people. Come prepared with two minutes of material (and your own music) and be ready to impress.

Auditions are Sunday, May 2, from 1-3pm.
