Win Two Passes to SIFF’s 12-Hour Movie Marathon

It’s probably going to rain on Sunday anyway—why not spend the day in a theater?

Relive Mel Gibson’s glory days when The Road Warrior (aka Mad Max II) screens during SIFF’s movie marathon.

Every now and then, I get the urge to order pizza, hole up in my apartment, and watch movies for an entire day. I’ve also been known to watch entire seasons of Lost in one sitting, though I don’t recommend it (gives you trippy dreams).

This Sunday, you have a good excuse to stay indoors: SIFF is hosting its second (annual!) 12-hour movie marathon, from 10am-10pm, and we’re sponsoring a contest to win two passes to the event (value $200).

To enter, register here before Thursday, March 18, at noon. We’ll announce the winner later that day.

The marathon—a fundraiser for all things SIFF—includes former Seattle International Film Festival standouts such as the Coen brothers’ 1984 directorial debut Blood Simple, The Road Warrior (aka the sequel to Mad Max), and Gus Van Sant’s 1995 dramedy To Die For starring Nicole Kidman and Matt Dillon.

Here’s the lineup:
9am – Breakfast at the Alki Room
10am – The Whole Wide World (introduced by director and SIFF cofounder Dan Ireland)
Noon – To Die For
2pm – The Road Warrior
3pm – Blood Simple
5:30pm – The Fourth Man
7:30pm – Trouble In Mind (introduced by director Alan Rudolph)

Have fun, and remember to hydrate.
