The Weekend Starts…Now.

Give Seattle benefit concert + final night of The Yes Men Fix the World

By Laura Dannen December 3, 2009

CONCERT

We’re in that giving mood again. All the proceeds from tonight’s concert at the Crocodile — with an all-local lineup that includes rapper D. Black, singer-songwriters Fences and Gabriel Mintz, and Sub Pop’s Grand Archives — go to Arts Corps and area food banks. It’s part of the Give Seattle campaign we told you about two weeks ago. Tonight’s acts will play songs off the holiday benefit album, Give, available here for $7. Doors open at 8.
Here’s a little video teaser from Fences (directed by Brad Curran, produced by CityArts):

FILM
It’s also the last night to see The Yes Men Fix the World at Northwest Film Forum. In this white collar Jackass, Andy Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno stage elaborate hoaxes at corporate events around the world. Keep an eye out for the “Halliburton survival ball.”
