DAY ONE: Christopher DeLaurenti N30: Live at the WTO Protest, November 30, 1999
Installation by Seattle-based sound artist now on at Henry Art Gallery
Nearly a decade ago, Christopher DeLaurenti took to the streets during the WTO protests and recorded a bit of everything: drums, chanting, shouting, fighting. Layering the sounds with police transmissions from November 30, 1999, he created N30: Live at the WTO Protest – a four-channel sound installation on at Henry Art Gallery today through January 31, 2010.
Find out more about the protests in our latest series of first-person accounts, 5 Days in Seattle that Shook the World.
