Don’t think twice, it’s alright: On October 5 at WaMu Theater one of the great poets of the last century comes to Seattle. Tickets are $49.50 and go on sale Monday, August 10 at 10:00 a.m. at LiveNation.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, or 800-745-3000.
I’ve seen him twice, and it’s more than alright. The first time, when he and Tom Petty toured together, was better than the last time, when he was part of that amazing triple bill with Joni Mitchell and Van Morrison. (Bob truly rocked but was even more steadfast than Mitchell and Morrison about not singing any of the songs you’d want to hear. I understand artists like to stay fresh but…am I crazy for thinking famous musicians owe their fans at least a few of the tunes that made them famous musicians?)
