Does Tacoma Have Talent?

America’s Got Talent hopes so

By Steve Wiecking April 24, 2009

She dreamed a dream. And we’re still hearing about it.

Are you homely but can hit some high notes? Your ship has just come in, dog face.

Auditions for America’s Got Talent—the U.S. version of the British show that gave Susan "bless her heart and her humanity" Boyle 15 endless minutes of fame (and threw me into days and days of just awful, fascistic, judgmental bitchiness)—take place at Tacoma Convention Center (1500 Broadway) between 8 am and 7pm on April 25 and 26. Download the necessary paperwork before you go.

The show says it’s looking for "a colorful array of hopeful stars, including singers, dancers, comedians, pets, contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians and ventriloquists."

But your chances are better if you’re a bit lumpy and make people nervous the second you walk on stage.

(I’m a terrible person, I know.)
