Pacific Northwest icons Nike and Nordstrom are joining forces to launch an incredible sneaker boutique courtesy of Olivia Kim and the Creative Projects team. Kicking off the collaboration, the Nike Air Max 90 “Seattle” will be available exclusively in the downtown Nordstrom location starting October 15. The concept builds on the successful partnership from April 2014 when the two introduced a Nike Pop-In@Nordstrom shop.
Kim says: “We know our customer loves Nike, and rather than build her a fitness-only shop, we looked at how she really wears it in her daily life,” Kim said. “It’s not Nike head-to-toe. She’ll wear exclusive sneakers with her favorite denim, a designer handbag, an amazing jacket and a special nail polish color – we have all of this all in one place. We wanted to give her what she wants and needs through an entirely new space and service model.”
The Nordstrom x Nike concept shop is an experience for the fashion-sport lover, curating the “best of NikeWomen product” but will be merchandised alongside other cool, creative brands. Kim herself is a runner, so expect the goods to be focused on both form and function as well as those super covetable limited edition launches. Already launched in Toronto, the collaboration will also be available in Chicago next month (November 15).
