The Future of Labor
Most employees in the US work for low wages with no paid sick leave and little job security (yay America!) But luckily, we live in a region that's ahead of the curve, with SeaTac's recent $15 minimum wage and paid sick leave for employees in the City of Seattle since 2012.
Andy Stern, labor activist and author of A Country That Works: Getting America Back on Track, will be at Town Hall to discuss the changes we've seen that affect the ways we think about our working lives.
Reclaiming Prosperity: Innovation in the Northwest and the Future of Labor, Tues, January 7, 7:30–9pm, Town Hall (Great Hall, enter on Eighth Ave), 1119 Eighth Ave, $5.
