Racial Equality in Washington

Help Washington state strive toward racial equity at Tuesday's summit, where folks like you and I can collaborate with legislators about current racial issues and how we might fix them.

Focus topics will include statewide paid sick days, more affordable dental care via the Dental Access Campaign, and the DREAM Act, which would give undocumented students access to state education funds.

Transportation Equity Webinar

Catch this month's webinar from the national transit agency Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center for some tips on improving transportation equity.

Webinar speakers will include environmental post-doctorate researcher Tab Combs, bike advocate Keith Holt of United Cycling Voices, and Dana Dickman of community design group Alta Planning and Design.

With bike lane advocate Mike McGinn soon moving out of the mayoral office, it remains to be seen whether or not these transit equity issues will actually take hold under mayor-elect Ed Murray.
