Urban Agricultural Bike Tour

Discover the connection between Seattle's growing bicycle scene and urban farming. Co-organized by Rainier Valley Food Bank and Bike Works, this bike tour will take you out and about to agricultural sites around Seattle, such as the Seattle Community Farm, Beacon Food Forest, and Alleycat Acres.

Sustainable Ballard Festival

For the 10th year, environmental organization Sustainable Ballard will hold a festival the whole family can enjoy to learn about sustainability.

Take the kids to see the farm animals while you listen to live music from the solar-powered main stage and maybe stop on your way at the cider pressing station.

Seattle AIDS Walk

The AIDS Walk is back in Seattle for its 27th year this Saturday. Join friends and loved ones to walk for people affected by HIV/AIDS and raise money for prevention and treatment.

The walk will start in Volunteer Park and loop around Capitol Hill.

GMO Documentary

The new documentary GMO OMG—directed, written, and edited by environmental activist Jeremy Seifert—tells the story of the GMO industry and its negative consequences. This film, particularly relevant for Washingtonians preparing on I-522 (which would require labeling some genetically modified foods), opens on Friday with a special Q&A session with Pamm Larry, the creator of California's unsuccessful GMO labeling initiative Prop 37.
