Nytom: Makah Visions

Native American artist Nytom, AKA John Goodwin, explores his Makah heritage through art, including prints, jewelry and wood carvings. Each tells a story based in the legends and folklore of the Makah tribe. Check out his latest exhibit located in the new Duwamish Longhouse and Cultural Center.

Night Out Against Crime 

Help your community take part in a national event: Night Out is an opportunity to discuss neighborhood crime and drug prevention as well as Block Watch tactics. It's also great community bonding. According to Night Out, "Some gatherings are just a few households; others expand into large block parties."

Rainier Valley Greenways meeting

Do you want to keep Seattle bike-friendly bike-curious? Ride down to Bike Works for a meeting with Rainier Valley Greenways, the neighborhood group responsible for keeping Seattle streets safe for spokes. The group will discuss August's bike audit as well as its new social media outreach program.
