PubliCalendar: Breakfast for Bikers, Ask the Mayor, and Science on Tap

For Wednesday
Free Breakfast for Bicyclists
Cascade Bicycle Club is offering an incentive for you to get in the saddle on your way to work this month: Free doughnuts! This morning, they'll be out on the José Rizal Bridge on Beacon Hill, handing doughnuts to bike commuters as part of its end-of-summer event, Breakfast on the Bridges.
Breakfast on the Bridge, Wed, August 28, 6:30am–8:30am, Jose Rizal Bridge, free.
For Tuesday
Ask the Mayor
Have a question you're itching to ask Mayor Mike McGinn? Call, email, or tweet the Seattle Channel and watch for Mayor McGinn's responses on this live monthly show. Let's just hope it isn't canceled this time.
Ask the Mayor, Tues, August 27, 7pm, Seattle Channel 21.
For Monday
Planets and Pints
UW Associate Professor of Astronomy Eric Agol will speak about "How to find an Earth-like planet" at tonight's Science on Tap meeting. Agol discovered a new planet in data from the Kepler telescope that failed this month after two of the telescope's four reaction wheels, which allow it to maintain its position in space, failed.
Science on Tap, Mon, August 26, 7pm, Ravenna Third Place Pub (in the basement of the Ravenna Third Place Bookstore), 6504 20th Ave. NE, Seattle, WA 98115, free.
