We spotted a small crowd of new Kate Spade employees (dressed in the same animal print black and white frocks) outside the brand new Kate Spade shop in Pacific Place earlier this week. It’s open, and ready to go bold and bright. As the sign outside the first-level Pacific Place storefront reads: "Understated is overrated." I’m 50/50 on that one.

We also got news yesterday that upstairs, next to Club Monaco, they’re putting in a new Guess shop. It’s set to open in November.
