Good News/Bad News

Iconic Vogue contributor to host a runway show on the Eastside

By Laura Cassidy May 21, 2010

The good news: None other than Andre Leon Talley is coming to your town on behalf of Vogue to co-host a Chanel fall 2010 runway show with Nordstrom at Novelty Hill-Januik Winery on June 9 at 6:30.

The bad news: It’s already sold out. Seats – there are only 200 of them, all situated front and center to the runway – went for 1k (proceeds benefit the Henry Art Gallery and Pacific Northwest Ballet) each, if that’s any consolation.

The good news: I was invited to cover the show and share it with you. So please look forward to what will surely be an epic slideshow.

More good news: He won’t be hard to miss.

Okay, unless you’ve already got a ticket you won’t get to peep Chanel’s wooly mammoth collection in person, but you might see the former confidant of Diana Vreeland and Andy Warhol around town if you keep your eyes open – or, maybe, follow him on Twitter

If you were Andre Leon Talley and you came to Seattle, where would you go?
