A big themey destination on the strip in Kirkland, with a Oaxaca Disneyland interior scheme (tequila tree at the bar, waterfall shooting flames) and a pulsing electronic soundtrack. All this noise gives Milagro a sultry date-night feel, with flautas and jicama salads and bacon-tequila sopes and smoked chicken with chipotle and anchiote rub on the menu. In spite of all these spices, Milagro’s food often goes wanting for flavor, and—in the chicken’s case—moisture. Still cocktails before dinner and churros with Mexican chocolate dipping sauce after are Milagro’s sweet spot. Service can be…youthful.
