Description
In back of Capitol Hill’s venerable raw-timbered Elliott Bay Books is Little Oddfellows, restaurant visionary Linda Derschang’s mini version of her Oddfellows Cafe next door. Light, white, and composed to Danish specs, the order-at-the-counter-and-bus-your-own-dishes spot is amply conducive to lost laptop afternoons, thanks to Caffe Vita coffee, teas, beer and wine, kombucha on tap—and a casual menu of hummus plates, quiches, and baguette and panini sandwiches. All take longer than you were expecting but also taste better—with pastries (made next door) that can make the very angels sing, like the humble Rice Krispies treat enriched with, oh yes, brown butter.
