Hutchison File Update
UPDATE, UPDATE, UPDATE: Erica is on the floor reveling it what appears to be a mundane yet totally riveting behind-the-scenes soap opera of gender, race, and sexual politics in a corporate American newsroom from the early 2000s.
Among the highlights that ECB has exclaimed over from her spot on the floor: Allegations about employees who leave the building during the work hours to "do drugs"; a lesbian news director "on the prowl"; a "womanizing" general manager hiring an "anorexic" female college student who has no newsroom experience; and a frustrated Hutchison calling a younger, Asian American female anchor "cold and detached."
Original Post:
The SeattlePI.com's Chris Grygiel wrote the first report we've seen so far on the Susan Hutchison file, which was unsealed earlier today by King County Superior Court Judge Timothy Bradshaw.
Grygiel's headline? "Documents: Hutchison called in sick, then went canoeing."
PubliCola wasn't able to be at the hearing this morning when they handed out copies of the file to the press, but luckily there was one media copy left when we went down to Bradshaw's courtroom about an hour ago. And now, it's here in our offices.

(That reminds me: This two-person news room needs an intern. Email Erica at [email protected] if you're interested.)
Erica is on our office floor poring over the Hutchison documents now, and we will file our own report as soon as we can.
