It's gonna be a busy week in campaign land. Below the jump, a list of this week's don't-miss campaign events. Tuesday, September 22
From 12:30 to 1:30 pm, the King County Bar Association will be holding a debate between the two candidates for King County Executive, Dow Constantine and Susan Hutchison, in the Rainier Tower Conference Center, 1301 5th Avenue. RSVP required.
Starting at 5:30 pm, the local ACLU, NAACP, Real Change, and a number of other like-minded organizations will be sponsoring a campaign forum on criminal justice issues, featuring the candidates for city attorney, city council, and county executive, at the Rainier Valley Cultural Center, 3515 S Alaska St.
Wednesday, September 23
From 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, the Greater Seattle Business Association (GSBA), basically the GLBTQ Chamber of Commerce, will be hosting a candidate forum at the Red Lion Hotel on 1415 5th Ave., featuring candidates for mayor, city attorney, city council, Port of Seattle Position 3, and county executive. For tickets ($30 for members, $35 for non-members), call (206) 363-9188; walk-ins pay an additional $15.
Starting at 7:00 pm, the Highland Park Action Committee is hosting a candidates forum at the Highland Park Improvement Club, 1666 SW Holden St., with a potluck dinner starting at 6:30 pm. "Among those in possible attendance," according to an announcement, will be candidate for mayor and county executive.
Between 6:00 and 8:00 pm., the Minority Executive Directors Coalition will hold a forum featuring county executive candidates at Kent Meridian High School, 10020 SE 256th Street in Kent.
