Extra Fizz: New Poll, Bag Fee Leading
A new survey USA poll has some surprising results: The bag fee isn't a lost cause. In fact, it's slightly ahead.
Asked: "Would you vote 'Yes' to add a .20 fee on disposable shopping bags?" 47 percent said they would. It's almost a dead heat. 46 percent said 'No.'
The poll also rejiggers the mayor's race.
Nickels is in the lead at 24, but former Sonic James Donaldson has moved up to a dead heat with Jan Drago for second; they're at 14 and 15 percent respectively. Also interesting, Sierra Club guy Mike McGinn is slightly ahead of T-Mobile exec Joe Mallahan—8 to 7.
