Their Favorite Things: Click! in West Seattle

Seeing the light with Fuz’s curled, sustainably built lamp

September 21, 2009

The thing about those compact florescent bulbs is that they’re ugly. No matter how efficient they are the eye-sore factor remains, which is why they work best in lighting sources that help them disappear. At Click! Design That Fits, the Curly Lamp by Fuz gets points for more than sustainability.

When it arrived recently at Click!, owners and designing duo Frances and John dropped me a line to let me know they love Fuz’s lamp for its elegant shape and its materials — recycled, sustainable high-density polyethylene. The hot item is pretty user/shipper friendly, too; it comes flat, and its new owners wrap the material around a bulb, and click (!) it into place.

Interested in fitting your pad with earth-friendly fixtures, furnishings, and decor? Click! is worth a look. The slightly-outta-the-way shop stocks locally made end tables and other wares, and all manner of smart, modern, sensitive design.
