Their Favorite Things: Clementine in West Seattle

These boots really were made for walking

September 10, 2009

If you managed to get through the summer without an ankle boot, you’re first in line for a pair for the fall. If you spent the last, gorgeous three months in a sleek little zip-up, you’re second in line -- because there’s every chance you’re now addicted. And if it hasn’t yet occurred to you to procure the style musts, you can get in line behind the rest of us, just don’t ask questions or jostle the line. Now, let’s all get to Clementine, where the Chie Miharas have arrived.

The favored ankle boot at Clementine is the perfect shade of muted gray – a little lavender, a touch of brown; looks gorgeous with whites, brights, and other neutrals. And what a heel. At the shop, Linda and Diana love it not just for its fair beauty but because its so darn wearable; Mihara, the Brazilian designer, is known for her compassionate, foot-friendly approach to sexy styling. Look good, feel better.

You might also check out the Pour La Victorie oxfords filed away in this slideshow. I’m not sure what you’re wearing under your cuffed boyfriend jeans (now that your platform sandals are about to get stashed under the bed for the next two seasons), or with your hot Thriller-esque Easy Rider-meets-Sgt. Pepper’s jacket, but it oughtta be these little numbers.

[Thanks to Diana, Clementine’s blogger, for the images.]
