Another all-star opening today, this time in SoLu: re:public will fling wide its doors for lunch. Owners promise “a full-service restaurant, with a lively bar culture and laid-back atmosphere.”

Perhaps you’ve already met those owners: Ruadhri McCormick, whose family owns Kell’s Irish Restaurant and Pub, and who himself opened Post along with Hannes Schindler, another partner in re:public. Third owner Matthew Greenup was one of the founders of Mission Latin Restaurant and Lounge in West Seattle.

The chef is Martin Woods, who’s cooked at Cantinetta, and, more recently, Bastille.

I haven’t seen the menu yet but those who know say it’ll be seasonally driven and sophisticated, with “approachable” prices. It’ll be open for lunch, dinner, and—here’s a shocker—happy hour.
