The news of The Crumpet Shop ’s temporary closure triggered what seemed a citywide whimper, so to avoid more sudden bummer-bombs, we found out what else is going dark during Pike Place Market renovations. And, hooray! The list isn’t that long.

Copacabana, Jack’s Fish Spot, Market Diner, Pan Africa, Shy Giant, and Stilnovich Produce are the food stops that will remain closed until spring, while Pure Food Fish should reopen March 1, says the Market’s Scott Davies.

Especially hooray: the fact that Place Pigalle, one of our favorite lunch spots, is expected to open again within the next week, Davies added. So is Pike Place Fish.
