Giveaway: CFDA x Starbucks
If the names Alexander Wang, Sophie Theallet, and Billy Reid aren’t familiar to you, they should be. These three American designers are the most recent fashion minds to be honored by the CFDA, the Counsel of Fashion Designers of America.
Starbucks knows the names; to celebrate their 40th anniversary, they invited the trio to design a line of exclusive T-shirts inspired by their coffee empire. The limited-edition, made-in-America, tops are going for $85 on starbucksstore.com and at select Nordstrom locations (sources tell me they’ve got them at the downtown shop in Via C).
But, you, lucky latte-drinker, can score one here for free.
Starbucks asked me to ask you to click through the slideshow here, and enter to win one of three shirts by guessing which designer is responsible for which design.
Here’s what you need to do:
-go through the four images in our slideshow (note: one designer designed two shirts; don’t let that throw you)
-click the email the editor link to the right of this post underneath the image of me picking lint off my sweater or examining my navel or whatever is I’m doing.
-use the subject line CFDA for Starbucks in your email (emails that do not have the subject line will not be considered)
-number 1 through 4 and list a designer for each of the T-shirts (you’ll have one designer listed twice because, as previously stated, one designer created two looks)
-list your mailing address, phone number, and the best contact email; contestants must submit this contact info; Seattle Met will not use it for anything, it will only be used to get you your winning T-shirt.
-hit send!
You have until Tuesday, September 27 at 5p to enter; winners will be notified via email. (One entry per person—that goes without saying, right? Multiple entries will be disqualified.)
The first three people to get the answers correct will win. I’ll pass the winning names along to Starbucks who will get in touch with you and arrange to send you your shirt of choice (subject to availability) in whatever size you specify (subject to availability).
Winners will be notified by email by Wednesday night. If you don’t hear from me by then, I’d suggest you go out and design your own T-shirt. Maybe you’ll win next year’s CFDA award.
