Best Pumpkin Patches near Seattle

Pumpkins on pumpkins on pumpkins at Swans Trail Farms.

Pumpkins, a sign of the Halloween celebrations just around the corner, are ready for harvest. U-pick patches put boot-clad visitors in charge of their will-be carving vessels, and many farms’ concurrent festivals delight with all the fall-themed fun.

Bob’s Corn and Pumpkin Farm

Snohomish | through november 1

If your run-of-the-mill pumpkin patch doesn’t do it for you anymore, this Snohomish farm’s Fall Festival is far above average. Bob’s encompasses four different pumpkin-filled fields, stretching across 45 acres of rolling hills. The 70 types of pumpkins growing around you are only part of the draw. Just beyond, fall-themed foods, an apple cannon, corn maze, barn dancing, and cow train are ripe for mass enjoyment.

Hayrides lead to glimpses of Mount Rainier at Carpinito Brothers.

Carpinito Brothers

Kent | september 25–october 31

More than 20 acres of fields at Carpinito Brothers are spotted with u-pick pumpkins for every purpose, from centerpiece gourds to carved masterpieces. You’ll need that provided wheelbarrow. After wandering through the sprawling field, visitors can greet animals, rope rodeo cows, and navigate a hay maze at the enticingly named Farm Fun Yard.

Cow trains weave through pumpkin fields at Craven.

Craven Farm

Snohomish | september 19–november 1

All throughout the fall, this pumpkin patch with 43 years in the biz has an abundance of activities aside from the requisite pumpkin patch: human foosball, Alice-in-Pumpkinland mini golf, cutesy cow train, and an inflatable jump pad.

Fall City Farms

Fall City | weekends september 26–october 31

The pumpkin stays center stage at Fall City Farms, supported by mini doughnuts and hot cider. After snagging the perfect pumpkin, show it off to the resident farm animals and admire a tiny house made (mostly) out of the orange gourds.

Swans Trail Farms

Snohomish | september 12–october 31

Carts piled high with apples and other seasonal produce greet you even before you enter Swans Trail, a taste of what lies ahead. The U-pick pumpkin patch is a classic, but the new nighttime Great Harvest Glow brings dazzling lights to a pumpkin-lined stroll.

Knutson Farms

Sumner | october 3–31

Knutson Farms is typically known for its rhubarb and flower production, but come fall, it’s the pumpkin’s time to shine. This working Sumner farm beckons with loads of kids activities from a bubble barn to Saturday night fireworks.

Maris Farms

Buckley | october 10–30

The Buckley outpost has rows upon rows of pumpkins and the ever-popular corn maze. U-pick fields are dog friendly, and campfires—with s’mores kits—await after the pumpkin picking fun.

Pfaff’s Old Time Farm

Auburn | dates tba

This family-run farm has been in the area since the late 1950s, letting its pumpkins flourish wherever they please for a 30-acre scavenger hunt. Fitting for the name, plenty of vintage items such as trucks and various machinery have also found their way onto the lot to seal the deal on the old-school experience.

Remlinger Farms

Carnation | september 26–october 31

“Farm” is almost a misnomer at the do-it-all Carnation attraction. U-pick pumpkins could easily get upstaged by the onsite brewery or 25-plus different activities, from pony rides to go-carts to a giant slide. If you’re looking for a full day of fall fun, this is the spot.

Pumpkins galore at Stocker Farms.

Stocker Farms

SNOHOMISH | september 19–october 31

There are small rustic farms, and then there’s Stocker, with 30 different attractions wrapped into the annual fall festival: hayrides, a candy cannon, the bubble barn, a cow train, a trike track, a zipline, and endless photo backdrops for gourd-filled Instagram feeds.
