Can’t Miss Fall and Winter Events on the Washington Coast

Trade the city’s hustle and bustle for memorable events, storm-watching, holiday lights, and cozy nights on the Washington Coast. Just under three hours from Seattle, you’ll find the award-winning town of Seabrook. Home to miles of wide-open beach, curated restaurants and shops, boutique spa, fitness center, arcade, mountain bike and hiking trails, sports courts, parks, and indoor and outdoor heated pools, it’s an ideal getaway for all ages.

As the days shorten, Seabrook settles into its coziest season. Crowds thin and a new calendar of events comes to life. From a Thanksgiving morning fun run to a month of holiday magic and a New Year reset by the sea, here’s everything to plan a getaway around.

Meet an Author at the Beachside Author Series

There’s no better excuse for a rainy-day road trip than a good book and meeting the person who wrote it. Seabrook’s 4th Annual Beachside Author Series runs October – May and features 10 award winning and best-selling authors of all genres from the PNW and beyond. The free events include time with the author, audience Q&A, book signing, small bites and beverages, and books available for purchase.

Take Thanksgiving on the Road

Skip the dishes at home and gather the whole family under one roof on the coast. Seabrook’s larger vacation homes, with open kitchens and long dining tables, are made for a holiday feast, and the beach is perfect for a post-pie walk. Start the day at the Seabrook Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 26. The family-friendly 3K starts at Town Hall and winds through Seabrook’s walkable neighborhoods. Costumes are encouraged, so break out the turkey hats and holiday sweaters. Make dinner a breeze and order a Thanksgiving Meal to Go from Seabrook’s catering team.

Make Seabrook Your Home for the Holidays

Jolly Days, the town’s annual holiday celebration, kicks off Friday, November 27, with a 5:30pm Christmas tree lighting, followed at 6pm by Jolly Nights Live featuring Taproot Theatre at Town Hall. The fun continues weekends through December 20. Saturdays bring Santa’s Workshop with crafts and family activities, Jolly Trail shopping, roaming carolers, and Yeti appearances. Magical snowfalls happen at 12:30 and 2:30pm, and an illuminated snowfall at 5:30pm caps the day. The season peaks on Saturday, December 19, with a Jolly Days Parade at 5pm, led by Yule the Yeti, followed by a snowfall, holiday photos, and cocoa. For book lovers time your visit for December 12, when celebrated author Sheila Roberts brings her holiday novel to Town Hall.

Start the New Year with a Coastal Reset

Seabrook’s Beach Retreat Wellness Series offers the perfect way to start fresh in 2027. Each Friday and Saturday in January, from 9:00 to 11:30 AM, it pairs movement and nourishment with rest and restoration. Fridays begin with an aromatherapy welcome ritual, then flow into accessible yoga and a nutrition-focused cooking class. Saturdays slow things down with breathwork, a restorative sound bath, acupuncture-inspired support and Spa Elizabeth reset treatments for the neck, shoulders, and scalp. Both days close at the Adaptogen Tea Bar. Join for a single day or book a weekend for a full two-day reset.
