Renoir in Our Backyard
SAN FRANCISCO’S DE YOUNG MUSEUM just opened a show of nearly 100 impressionist paintings on loan from the Musée d’Orsay in Paris. But if you can’t get there, get this: From now through October 10, the Tacoma Art Museum has a few specimens of its own to show off, including works by Pissarro and Renoir, Degas ballerinas, and American painter William Glackens’s Natalie in a Blue Skirt (pictured), which hearkens back to a late Renoir style.
