Tonight at NWFF: ByDesign

By Alexandra Bush March 6, 2010

The Northwest Film Forum's 10th annual ByDesign festival opened last night, and will run all week.

Curated by designer and associate programmer Peter Lucas, the ByDesign fest takes a week every year to celebrate the intersection of design and film.

Tonight,  the brilliant Tania Kupczak will moderate a discussion between local animators and motion designers Britta Johnson (whose creepy-cute stop-motion films make me swoon) and local animator and graphic designer (Digital Kitchen) Jayne Vidheecharoen
.

Also at the festival tonight: There's a retrospective film about The Light Surgeons, a UK art collective that does "creative media surgery, pioneering a new form of audiovisual narrative."
