Take it from Nordstrom’s fashion director, Gregg Andrews, when he proclaims, “Color is one of the biggest trends we’re seeing this spring.”

Gucci sent a rainbow of head-to-toe hues in sherbet, cobalt, and ochre ready-to-wear out for spring. Derek Lam went a bit more subtle—a yellow midi skirt here, a red midriff-baring outfit there. And we put together a colorful jumble of locally sourced looks in our own spring fashion spread.

For interiors the same rules apply. Neons feel bright and joyous, while washed-out shades and softer pastels have the everyday ease of a neutral.
