Exploring the Supercute World of Hello Kitty invites you to explore Hello Kitty’s colorful history and influence on art and culture through a showcase of more than 500 rare and unique pieces from Sanrio’s archive alongside mixed media works from international contemporary artists inspired by Hello Kitty and her world. Hello! opens November 14 at EMP Museum.
Hello! Exploring the Supercute World of Hello Kitty was created by the Japanese American National Museum, Los Angeles, in concert with Sanrio Inc., and is curated by Dr. Christine Yano and Jamie Rivadeneira. The exhibition is toured by Curatorial Assistance.
