The former Governor of Washington state, Gary Locke, now the Secretary of Commerce, was at Boeing this morning, but not the current one.
A reader wanted to know: Why wasn’t Gov. Gregoire there to meet President Obama. (Gregoire was an early Obama endorser.)
Greogire’s office says Greogire was on vacation (in Idaho), and she had to take a commercial flight back for the fundraiser at the Westin. (She’s not allowed to use the state plane to go to a fundraiser.)
And the earliest commercial flight couldn’t get her here in time to greet the pres on the tarmac.
