A man armed with a rifle robbed three people at a South Seattle gas station earlier this month, according to a police report.
At about 11:45pm on June 14th, the victim was driving down Martin Luther King jr Way S near S Ryan St when he passed a very distinctive silver Honda Civic coupe which, according to a police report, was lowered, had an aftermarket exhaust system, tinted windows and several other modifications, and was “very dirty.”
The victim pulled into a gas station and saw the Honda drive past.
When the victim got out of his car to pump gas, a man carrying an “SKS rifle” walked up to the victim and told him to empty his pockets.
The victim “put his arms in the air and told the suspect no,” the report says, before he ran up to the gas station’s service window and told the clerk to call 911.
As the victim was talking to the clerk, the suspect—described in the report as an Asian male, 5’9, 150-175lbs, with a thin mustache, wearing black clothing and a red rag tied around his head—walked over to the victim’s car, opened the door, pointed the rifle at the two passengers and demanded their money.
The suspect then grabbed a key out of the ignition and ran to his own vehicle, parked at 39th and Warsaw.
Police couldn’t find the vehicle or the driver following the incident.
