Thierry Rautureau Returns to Top Chef Masters Wednesday Night

The Chef in the Hat will compete once again for Food Lifeline.

I’ll be taking that salmon, thankyouverymuch.

Thierry Rautureau is competing on the fourth season of Top Chef Masters, where more established chefs face off to win money for charity. Rautureau, owner of Rover’s and Luc, is hoping to bring home some cash for his designated cause—Food Lifeline. It’s the same charity he played for when he competed in the show’s second season, alongside Maria Hines of Tilth and Golden Beetle, and Poppy chef Jerry Traunfeld.

Over at the Seattle Times, Rebekah Denn has an interview with the raconteurish Rautureau about his latest TV stint. Though Masters is more about statesmanship and less about catfights fueled by ample amounts of product placement wine, the Chef in the Hat does do a bit of salmon bogarting in the first episode.

Top Chef Masters airs Wednesdays at 10pm on Bravo. And yes, Rautureau will be hosting viewing parties at Luc. Whoever runs the @BravoTopChef Twitter feed is very, very excited for the new season.
