Don’t know what it is about fall—but it gets us in the mood for hot and melting sandwiches, steaming bowls of soup, crunchy salads, overstuffed burritos.

We got that.

For our Ultimate Lunch Guide, we stalked the highrise canyons block by block, in search of the best takeouts, delis, bakeries, food trucks, and more in areas with the greatest concentration of working stiffs: Downtown, Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, Belltown, and SOLU.

Fall happens tomorrow, folks. Vacation’s over. Time for lunch.
