Win 2012’s Best Seattle Albums

All you have to do is tell us your favorite local record of 2012.

It’s almost that time of year, when writers everywhere lean on the fabulously fun crutch of year-end “best of” lists. We want you to get in on the action by sharing your favorite Seattle record of the year, and to incentivize the game, we’ve put together a sweet little prize package—all of our Albums of the Month from 2012. It’s a collection of the best music Seattle has to offer and the perfect soundtrack for year-end parties.

In case you missed any installments, here’s the full list of records we’re giving away…

February Deep Sea Diver’s History Speaks
March Eighteen Individual Eyes’ Unnovae Nights
April Impossible Bird’s self-titled EP
May Craft Spells’ Gallery
June Ali Marcus’s Americana Hotel
July Lemolo’s The Kaleidoscope
August Erik Blood’s Touch Screens
September Seapony’s Falling
October Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’s The Heist
November – The Hoot Hoots’ Feel the Cosmos

It may seem we’re two records short since we started the series in February and have yet to announce our December Album of the Month. Thankfully, our pals over at Sub Pop provided two more killer records to make the haul an even dozen: the futuristic sci-fi hip-hop of THEESatisfaction’s awE naturalE and Fear Fun, the fantastic debut record by our favorite Seattle ex-pat Father John Misty.

To enter to win, email SeattleMetTix@gmail.com with “Albums” as the subject, and your pick for the best Seattle record of 2012, by Friday, December 7, at 5pm. The winner will be notified by email shortly after the deadline.
