As the video game world descended on Los Angeles for E3, the industry’s annual media showcase/hype machine, there’s plenty of Seattle presence: Microsoft, Nintendo, Valve, and a slew of smaller publishers. One face we weren’t expecting to see at E3: local singer-songwriter Shelby Earl. But the Seattle Met favorite surprisingly popped up as the star of Rock Band 4‘s debut trailer during the Microsoft press conference. Earl rocks out on the rhythmic video game’s plastic guitar and lets herself get lost in the fantasy of playing actual shows with an actual guitar (it’s like she’s done that before or something). Rock Band 4 comes out for the XBox One and Playstation 4 on October 4.
