New York Cupcakes Closes in Madison Valley

The Cheatin’ With Chocolate, chocolate cake topped with chocolate buttercream frosting, will only be available on the Eastside after today.

Today is the last day in business for New York Cupcakes’ Madison Valley Location. The cheery cupcakery took to Facebook to announce the closing a scant 11 months after opening this location at  2711 E Madison St. The shop opened at 10am today a per normal, but will remain open only until it sells out.

Fortunately, New York Cupcakes’ Bellevue location isn’t going anywhere; the location in the Crossroads Shopping Center celebrates its four-year anniverary August 1. The store’s Cheatin’ With Chocolate confection was a tremendous hit among Seattle Met tasters during our cupcake trials of aught nine.

New York Cupcakes devotees on the west side of Lake Washington might soon have another reason to head east: The shop has a new line of cheesecake cupcakes in the works.
