Former Steppenwolf keyboardist Goldy McJohn is celebrating his 65th birthday this weekend at Hard Rock Cafe Seattle (lookin’ good, Goldy!), and decided to throw himself a little party with some friends…. like Jimi Hendrix’s brother Leon, and a couple guys from Heart.

Um, what?!

McJohn’s band the Magic Carpet Ride will play a set at Hard Rock on Friday night; doors open at 8, show starts at 9. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. And, of course, the lineup:

Leon Hendrix (Jimi Hendrix’s Brother)
Somar featuring Steve Fossen (Formerly of Heart)
Roger Fisher (Formerly of Heart)
Heartless (Seattle’s Heart Tribute Band )
Gretchen Christopher (Fleetwoods)
Witchburn
…plus more "surprise celebrity guest artists." Hmm. If Eddie Vedder does guest appearances for Conan O’Brien, do you think he’d do one for McJohn?
