Oregon Wine Experience - The Quintessential Oregon Wine Event

Oregon wines continually reach new levels of flavor and recognition, receiving numerous accolades in magazines and wine competitions. Southern Oregon wines evoke a sense of class, quality and community you can’t find—or taste—anywhere else. Sparking the hearts and palates of wine-lovers, Medford and the Rogue Valley host the quintessential Oregon wine celebration during the Oregon Wine Experience, August 21-27, in historic Jacksonville, Oregon.
Over 65 Oregon wineries will participate in this year’s festivities, which is one of the state’s largest wine and culinary celebrations, featuring competitions, wine discovery classes and a Grand Tasting event. Among the many Southern Oregon wineries which will be showcased at the Oregon Wine Experience is DANCIN Vineyards. DANCIN blends a European vibe with the warmth and comfort of the region. DANCIN Vineyards, located a few minutes outside of Medford, is an example of how Southern Oregon wineries create the perfect balance between fun and elegance.
DANCIN produces distinctly unique and flavorful Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. Their wines have received several awards, including 2017 Oregon Winery of the Year by Wine Press Northwest and a Double Gold Medal for their 2014 Trata Pinot Noir at the 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. The wines at DANCIN receive consistently high scores; the 2015 Melange Chardonnay was awarded 92 points and the Editor's Choice in Wine Enthusiast Magazine.

Southern Oregon presents travelers with a full-spectrum wine experience. From Medford, you can explore nearly 50 Oregon wineries, each with its own personality, flavors and flair. The Oregon Wine Experience runs August 21-27 in the ideal, picturesque, small town of Jacksonville, Oregon.
With a number of events to choose from, you’re sure to please your inner wine connoisseur and satisfy your culinary cravings.
Wine enthusiasts can expand their knowledge by attending the Oregon Wine University, with classes on a variety of topics including how to compare wines, what you need to know when wine tasting and which foods pair well with wine.

There is also a premier wine competition earlier in the month, with a medal celebration on August 23, which kicks off Oregon Wine Experience event.
The last two days of Oregon Wine Experience are the ultimate culmination of food, wine and Southern Oregon fun. The Miracle Auction and Salmon Bake is the penultimate event of the week, and features a live and silent auction, upscale food, entertainment and tastings, and a delicious salmon dinner made the Oregon way—cooked over an open pit.
The Grand Tasting—the final and largest tasting event of the week—lives up to its name, featuring over 95 wineries. Nosh on plates prepared by some of the best chefs in the area and then participate in the silent auction and raffle.
