On Sunday, May 1, the second annual Country Brunch welcomed over 400 guests for a brunch bonanza and bloody mary smackdown. Attendees and a panel of judges sampled brunch bites and bloody marys, crowning Meet the Moon as the people’s and judges’ choice winner for best brunch bite. The people named Skillet’s the best bloody mary, and the judges chose Hattie’s Hat’s as the best bloody mary. Competitors also included Barrio, Brave Horse Tavern, Ernest Loves Agnes, Lionhead, Lost Lake Café, Sun Liquor, Super Six and Tortas Condesa. Sponsored by Reyka, Ancho Reyes, Charlie’s Produce, Caffé Vita, Zico and Nuflours. Net proceeds benefited Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington and Alaska.
